The rare dark garnet red grape variety Asuretuli Shavi was discovered wild in the forests around Asureti by German settlers in the early 19th century. It only comes from this small village in southern Georgia. Gocha Liparteliani, a 43-year-old economist-turned-winemaker from Bolnisi, made wine from grapes he grew in the village of Kianeti.
With rich notes of cherries and berries.
