Georgian natural wine. Amidasturi was created later in 2020. Name of this wine was taken from the name of the 7th century church, located in village and called Vachnadziani Amidasturi.
Few important people/circumstances have played significant roles in creating this label: famous Georgian female writer, who has written a short novel about this church and her beautiful childhood spent in the church’s yard, another famous Georgian female – painter, who has painted the story and of course combination of 3 grape varieties: Rkatsiteli 70%, Kakhuri Mtsvane 27%, Muscaturi Rkatsiteli 3%.
The wine was fermented and aged in qvevri vessels with 7 month skin maceration. Grapes are grown in Kakheti, on the right bank of river Alazani, village Vachnadziani, Shaloant Akhoebi – specific terroir, located at 450 meters above the sea level in a dry, hot climate, on rocky/silty soil. The wine is unfiltered.
