The wine was introduced by the Greeks from the Tyrrhenian coast. The name comes from the characteristic shape of the bunch, with the berries grouped in pairs. This characteristic inspired the name Aminea Gemina. The typical soils in which Greco is grown are rich in minerals and are particularly suited to this wine. It is this mineral that gives the wine its characteristic flavour.
Harvest is in the second decade of October.
Easy pressing of whole bunches, cold static cleaning.
Fermentation with selected yeasts
