In the wine heart of Kakheti in eastern Georgia is the beautiful hilltop town of Sighnakhi, overlooking the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains to the north, and it is here that brother and sister winemakers John and Jane Okruashvili live. Their 7 hectares of organic vineyards produce fruit from eight local varieties, and all their wine is fermented and matured in traditional clay kvevri vessels buried underground. Organically grown local varieties and traditional wine. Made from local red Tavkveri grapes that have spent 18 months in the kvevri and bottled raw, this rosé wine has a ruby-cherry colour, almost a light red. Lots of red fruit flavours, cherry, pepper notes, super refreshing and very elegant flavours. Rated "Outstanding" by Decanter magazine.
