The name of the line was inspired by the most important year for the production and trade of Sicilian wine, 1921; in the 1920s the fortune and distribution of marsala shed a new light on the whole of Sicily, in fact it was the first wine to reach the market in Europe, especially France and the UK.
Real Academia seems to be decorated with typical Sicilian lace and is reminiscent of the fabrics used by local women in the first decades of the twentieth century.
