Description

This orange wine is made from 100% Rkatsiteli grapes. The wine is fermented and then aged in kvevri for approximately 6 months, utilising skin contact throughout the kvevri ageing period. The darker colour is determined by longer skin contact, age of the vines and terroir. This rare and unique wine is more of a red with tart tannins and is meant to be eaten.
The first thing that catches the eye is the amber hue of this Quévry wine, which appears after six months of ageing on the skins. Lovely aromas of apricots, almonds, truffle and hay. This medium to full bodied wine has tenacious, velvety tannins and is drunk more as a red.
