Description

Georgian natural wine. Amidasturi was created in the second half of 2020. The name of this wine was taken from the name of the 7th century church located in the village of Vachnadziani Amidasturi.
Several important people/circumstances played a significant role in the creation of this label: a famous Georgian writer who wrote a short novel about this church and her beautiful childhood spent in the churchyard, another famous Georgian artist who painted this story on canvas and of course the combination of 3 grape varieties: Rkatsiteli 70%, Kahuri Mtsvane 27%, Muscaturi Rkatsiteli 3%.
The wine was fermented and aged in kvevri vessels with a 7-month maceration of the skins. The grapes are grown in Kakheti, on the right bank of the Alazani River, Vachnadziani village, Shaloant Akhoebi - a specific terroir, located at an altitude of 450 metres above sea level, in a dry, hot climate, on stony/siliceous soil. The wine is unfiltered.
