Vitalys is reminiscent of Italy and comes from the Latin word “vitalis”, which means vital, full of life. In fact, this wine gives happiness and desire to experience the sensations caused by its tasting.
Produced on the estate of Le Ronche, located in Fossalta di Piave. “Le Ronche” is the name of the place where the vineyard is located, about 10 km from the Adriatic Sea and 50 km from the Dolomites.
The soil is alluvial, consisting of caranto, a mixture of white clay and minerals from the Dolomites.
The climate is mild, with very little rainfall and high summer temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen well.
In order to achieve ideal ripening of the grapes, in addition to the usual care of the vineyard, summer pruning and careful thinning of the leaves are carried out. In addition, the harvest is kept very low in order to produce grapes with rich aroma and flavor.
Harvest – early September, when the grapes are very well ripe, but still have a good level of acidity.
De-stemming and crushing, soft pressing, cold static cleaning and fermentation in concrete vats at controlled temperature. Then the wine matures for several months in oak barrels on a noble lees. The lees are often blended to increase the thickness and softness of the wine.
Straw yellow; fruity bouquet with intense aromas of almond and apple; delicate taste, with a long and elegant aftertaste.
In a cool and dark place, keeping the bottle in a horizontal position. Its structure and complexity allow the wine to improve during bottle maturation, which can last up to 15 years, reaching its pinnacle 5 years after harvest.
