Most of the grapes are grown near Bolzano, at the entrance to the Valle d’Isarco at an altitude of 500 – 800 m above sea level on sandy soils based on porphyry. And a small part of the vines grows on the slopes of the vineyards cru “Girlan” at an altitude of 450 to 500 meters above sea level in well-ventilated vineyards. The area in which they are grown is rich in minerals from Ice Age sedimentation.
The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small containers to prevent excess pressure on the grapes. Soft pressing and clarification of the must due to natural settling. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature. Aged on lees in steel vats.
Müller Thurgau is a cross between Riesling and Sylvaner. The clusters are thin, the berries are green-yellowish, fragrant. A delicate note of fragrant nut and moderate acidity of the wine are highly valued.
