A unique and refreshing wine that combines two indigenous Georgian grape varieties, Danakharauli and Rkatsiteli. This wine is produced using traditional Georgian winemaking methods, which include the fermentation of grapes in Qvevri.
Danakharauli and Rkatsiteli grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum degree of maturity.
The grapes are crushed using a traditional press called satsnakheli to extract the juice and pulp.
The juice, pulp, skin and seeds are placed in qvevri and left to ferment naturally using the yeast and bacteria present on the skin of the grape.
The skinless wine is then aged in qvevri for several months to reveal its unique taste and aroma.
Barbale Winery Danakharauli & Rkatsiteli Rosé Qvevri has a light salmon-pink color and refreshing acidity with hints of red fruits and floral aromas, with delicate tannins. All in all, this wine is perfect to drink on a warm day or as a refreshing accompaniment to a light snack.
