The oldest known production of sparkling wine was realised in 1531 in France. The wine made according to this ancient method was called Pétillant Naturel - Pét-Nat. In the world this method is known under different names. In Georgia, wine made using this method is called Machari.
This wine, made from the Chardonnay variety, was made using the Pét-Nat method when fermentation was completed in the bottle.
The wine has been freed of most of its sediment, but contains some natural sediment.
This sparkling wine expresses rich floral aromas, citrus and tropical fruits with a pleasant yeasty aftertaste.
