Description

This Arneis wine is made using grapes from a single vineyard Sru located in Canale, where the soil is less sandy and more clayey. The wine is aged for one year in steel tanks, in contact with fine lees. The wine has notes of honey and citrus and has a long persistence; it is also pleasant to drink after many years of ageing.
Vineyard age: 25 years.
The grapes are harvested by hand into small baskets of 20kg, in mid-September.
Vinification: removal of the ridges with cold maceration in contact with the skins using a cryomaceration system for 24 hours. Soft pressing is then carried out. Slow fermentation at 15° to 16° degrees to ensure flavour retention.
Aged in steel tanks for 10 months at low temperature with frequent batonnage.
Riserva on sale 16 months after harvest.
Intense brilliant straw yellow colour; bouquet of white flowers, white currant, with notes of pineapple, pear and citrus. Develops with notes of sage and mint. In the mouth it has a resolute, dense and warm taste with a long aftertaste characterised by pleasant mineral notes.
