Most of the grapes are grown near Bolzano, at the entrance to the Valle d'Izarco at an altitude of 500 to 800 metres above sea level on porphyry-based sandy soils. And a small proportion of the vines grow on the slopes of the Cru Girlan vineyards at 450 to 500 metres above sea level in well-ventilated vineyards. The area in which they are grown is rich in minerals as a result of Ice Age sedimentation.
The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small containers to prevent excessive pressure on the grapes. Soft pressing and clarification of the must through natural sedimentation. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. Maturation on lees in steel vats.
Müller Thurgau is the result of crossing Riesling and Sylvaner. The bunches are thin, the berries are green-yellowish and aromatic. The wine's delicate nutty flavour and moderate acidity are highly valued.
